That exuberant attitude of "this is an incredibly great idea, everyone will love it, you should totally do it!" followed by "well, it's not really *my* thing, but other people will love it" is indeed baffling, and again, familiar. It's made me rather jaded about accepting encouragement at all, since I never know if it's sincere or not. (Or, in the case of your husband, it's sincere, he's just not really the "target audience" for it.)

On the plus side though, it's one project off the table. :)
