You know you cook a lot when...

I was standing at my laptop and Guppy asked, "What are you doing?"

"I'm checking something on my laptop," I told her. (Browsing Facebook, is the truth.)

"It's a quarter teaspoon," she told me confidently.

Because of course, I'm usually checking the quantity for a recipe! She will also run to the measuring spoon drawer and bring one to me if I say something needs spiced (randomly, though she always CALLS it a quarter teaspoon). No Sweetheart, I am not putting in a tablespoon of cinnamon.

... the thought occurs to me that procrastinating probably becomes more difficult when someone is standing next to you all the time, wanting to know exactly what you're doing.

I probably am! (I've discovered that my fiancee's cinnamon tolerance is pretty close to "more please", especially where French toast and oatmeal cookies are concerned.)

That's adorable.

Although I probably think most things could use a tablespoon of cinnamon as well, HA.

You know what else suggests you cook a lot?
You have a *drawer* of measuring spoons.
