I'm re-watching Stargate SG-1... only 3 episodes so far squeezed into the bits of time I can spare, and wow. So much nostalgia, and these first episodes are SO rough. I had forgotten how much Carter still felt she had to prove.

And yes, all planets look like Vancouver.

Mmm, blast from the past. :D (It is a little staggering to remember myself as a high school student watching the original movie, with the TV show not even a daydream in a producer's eye ...)

I've been thinking about doing a Stargate re-watch for a while.

I have a vague recollection that the first episodes did a 're-set to factory settings' thing with the plot at the end of each show, and they only did story arc and continuity later on. Is that indeed the case?

It's fascinating how *different* places look. It rapidly stops being $genericcity when I know even a little about it.
