Hi Ellen, I agree with you, it is far too commercialised(much like Christmas has become). We don't do the Valentines thing at all... you don't need one day to express your love when you can do it everyday and it'll cost you nothing, but in return you get rewards of love back! :)
They put the price of the roses up double for the day as they know they'll be in big demand... it's rather ridiculous... we don't have a holiday for it in NZ, but the shops sure line up their shelves in the hopes of making big bucks and I'm sure they do... I just feel it's mad and pressured...
I don't like Halloween for the same reasons as it's a commercialised day that is not even a tradition or means anything to NZ.. bleh...
BTW, the calender has arrived.. only a bit of damage in the corner(where the staples are), but it's looking really cool... thanks so much.. such a fun one! :D
