I have new artwork up over at Torn World! Today's newly public story is courtesy of Edward Cammarota, and is It's the Little Things. This fun little rage by Olarali follows On Rails and Railplay, and gives a little more information about why Bai showed up at the theatre alone that night... even if it does beg yet more questions.

Sleep last night was patchy - Elsa has apparently forgotten about the raising-by-wolves threat. I plan to nap as much as possible today. Like... now, while she is.

Have a picture from this morning:

She really is a darling.

Isn't she? *proud mama moment*

Found the problem

Always nap when she does! Until she is at least 1yr old lol. Btw do you have a comforter? They work really well for some babies, and certainly helped to get Willow sleeping through. It is now invaluable for sleep, fussy days, teething unhappies, car trips.... Gods help us if it gets lost, we have a few backups but nothing is loved quite like the original. Anyways, if you want one let me know, I knit them myself :)

You know, I keep thinking about a comforter... but I was so alarmed by the reading material that was so DIRE about leaving anything in the crib with the baby to prevent SIDS - including crib bumpers, which I would love to have in there, because she wiggles herself up to the edge and then thumps her head on the bars while she's squirming... goofy baby. What age do you start with a comforter?

I also did a lot of reading, after getting one as a gift when Willow was born. Basically, they shouldn't be in the cot under 6mo or before baby can remove a cloth from their face (most can do so by 6mo). I would put Will's in her cot for day naps so that she could get used to it, I also used to have it under my clothes so that it would smell like me and hopefully result in a better nap. I didn't put it in at night until I was convinced she would be able to take it off her face if needed.

My research said it was fine to be there under 6mo if baby was well swaddled, but ours was such a wiggler until we used sleeping bags instead so I didn't feel comfortable with that idea.

Now we absolutely love love love the comforter :)
