Blah, blah, blah...

Got April's horoscopes written today. :) Go me!

Big plans to see if I can't finish my bits of No Promises today. It's all outlined, so it shouldn't be too difficult. (Of course, I've been saying that for how long?) Maybe I'll see if I can't get a start on Leverage for Smitty, too. Feeling writing-inspired.

In other news, I am not and never will be a true artist.

Don't read what I'm not saying… I can draw alright, and I have some okay ideas, and I'm only getting better, but I don't think I will ever be an 'artist.' At best, I'll be an illustrator, and really, I'm just fine with that. I don't have any shocking ideas or social commentary to impart. I don't *want* to push borders and define new country for painting.

I want to make pretty pictures that tell stories, and that would probably get me laughed out of any serious gallery. I'm okay with that.

Today's random thoughts brought to you by the number 4 and letter G.

According to you then, I want to be a artist. I do want to revolutionize paiinting in some way. At least, do something original or come up with new techniques or carry across some sort of social message related to Puerto Rico of course. I sometimes sit down to think about why I'm studying art and what my purpose in life is. I still haven't decided yet but I do want to shock people and all that stuff that artists are characterized for doing. I also like illustrating.

An artist is someone who creates something from a blank canvas(using the broadest meaning of canvas). So in that way you are an artist and a pretty darn spiffy one. :)
