I feel tremendously tremendous.

"No bag," I told the man at Justa Store. I always say that, if there's just one item. But I regretted it, walking into the parking lot with a 6-pack of Budweiser. I mean... Budweiser. "It's for a recipe!" I wanted to protest. "Don't judge me!"

I covered it with my coat when I got into my car.

I got home and harassed some forest chickens (spruce grouse) who were very confused by my imitations. There were 8 or 12 of them at the end of our driveway, and I wish I had a camera so I could show you pictures of how very comical they are. Maybe a video camera, really.

I put a chicken (a real one, from the store) in the oven over the embarrassing beer, and made bread, which is rising now.

I like coming home. Jake gives me a kiss and helps me with bread. Velcro follows me around. Norway smells the pug smell on my feet and leans against me to be petted. It's a good home to come home to. I love it here.

I'm feeling very content. I've made a tremendous decision. I don't know exactly how it's going to play out yet, but I'm confident it was the right one, no matter what happens. It maybe should have been made last year, but last year I hadn't found the option that I found this year... so, I'm feeling a little as if everything is happening in its natural order, as it should be.

That's a very nice feeling to have.

Very nice. :) I'm getting more and more curious.

I want pictures of spruce grouse! :O Makes me think of these bizarre little ground fowl we found running amok in our backyard one day, long ago (I suspect our odd taxidermist neighbor was raising pheasant, and these were just young escapees, but really, it was weird as hell XD)

You make me want to move somewhere rugged and live a life of.. uhm... ruggedness. Good luck with your decision, I too am curious!

This post sounds like one giant breath of release. :) I'm glad, its sounded like you needed something to prompt one of those lately. I look forward to hearing the news!

Whatever the big decision was... it seems to have added a certain amount of.. calm (?, zen?) to yourself right now :)

Also, try saying spruce grouse 10 times fast!

You sound like either you sold EMG or you gave over the running of it to someone else...

I'm at this point itching to know what the changes are m'dear -- but, whatever they are, they seem to havegiven you peace of mind -- always a sign of a good choice.

It sounds like whatever decision you reached it made you feel way better, just as it should be.

Hugs!

**laugh!** We make -- er -- my amazing cook of a husband makes "Three Kings Chili" sometimes, which requires Bud. As we choose small brewery IPAs and stouts, generally, we have been known to feel the same chagrin!

I once had a cat named Budweiser Skunk, Her kittens were Anheuser Mush and Bertram* Squirm.
