Tuesdaily with Eclipse and Muse Fusion
Dec. 21st, 2010 08:51 amI am jamming away on my first Muse Fusion prompt, and processed a few of the hundred+ moon shots that I took last night.
I had a great time shooting photos, but ran out of steam before it started coming back, so you only get the moon-going-away pictures. (I could flip them in photoshop to show the back and forth, but that would be cheating. :P)
It was a fun learning experience with my camera - I played a great deal more with shutter speed than I usually do, and used my fancy zoom lens (after taking a dozen+ photos of a teeny white speck in the sky). A tripod would have helped things greatly, but I was able to balance it on my walking pole for extra balance.
It was 30 below, so I chilled up a lot - especially my hands, since I couldn't run the camera with mittens.

I am Muse Fusioning today! Please leave us prompts! http://community.livejournal.com/torn_world/54012.html
(I am donating half of this fusion's earnings to the Severn Hospice in honor of Val!)

Date: 2010-12-21 06:12 pm (UTC)It was snowing when the eclipse passed here, so no chance at photos for me.
Last year I tried fingerless gloves (well, fingers only up to the first knuckle or so) for photo-walks, and thought they worked. But then, this isn't Alaska...

Date: 2010-12-21 06:33 pm (UTC)We didn't get to see the eclipse from here as it was overcast, and by the time the moon rose above the horizon at 9.30pm it would already have been in partial eclipse anyway.
