What improvement was I going to add for Sketch Fest this month? I've got a few hours of work to put into it... I thought I had something specific in mind, but now I can't remember what it was.

Requests? Suggestions? Reminders?

I noticed that the SF2 sketches are showing up double (under SF1 as well), but hopefully that's not a huge fix.

I know I've mentioned the ability to have multiple "finished work" for a given sketch, but I have no idea where that might fall on the priority/difficulty scale.

I remember discussion about various prompt filtering (checking for duplicate prompts, the ability to "re-prompt" something, and probably some other things I'm not recalling off-hand).

I also remember some suggestions for artist tools for selling/mailing sketches. I don't remember the specifics, but perhaps someone else does?

Does any of that help?

In trivia, a link to the sketchfest #15 sketches, and soon to the #16 sketches, in the previous-sketchfests section (on the sketch wall page). Possibly add the same set of per-sketchfest wall links to the main page (near the bottom, maybe)? More complicated but maybe saving time in the pre-sketchfest flurry, have the site add those links automatically instead of manually.

Update the "comments on the following prompts" text to name the current sketchfest; have that update automatically when the sketchfest does.

A list of prompters as well as a list of artists for any given sketchfest, maybe? And/or a master list of everyone who's registered and/or has a "page" with their sketches and prompts?

Third paragraph of the history of sketchfest, it looks like there's a name missing.

Link to the wall for sketchfest 16 in the history of sketchfest.

Umm ...

Well, a link to the site with previous sales would be nice.

Haven't been on the site since last sketch fest(shame on me! I know)so not sure if you did this one yet, but a delete button for uploads...in case someone(ummm me ;) ) decides to upload the same thing twice and having to contact you on your wonderful dinner to delete it...heheh sorry:)

Odd! I had fixed that problem with SF2 sketches showing up under SF1, but then commented out the solution. I put it back up and it seems to work now.

Hm! Multiple finished sketches wouldn't actually be too difficult... *adds to the list*

Re-prompting is something I have been trying to wrap my head around... and failing. it's still on my radar, I just haven't solved it yet!

Very helpful, thank you!

Trivia is done, and it's slowly being automated, though that's somewhat time consuming and doesn't *look* like anything from the outside, so I tend to do that only a few parts per month so I can do something showier, too. :P

A master list! Oh, I like that...

Off to update the history. Thank you!

Ah, one more I'm reminded of -- a login that lasts the length of sketchfest, or maybe even sketchfest+upload period. If I wander off to work for a bit, I come back and find myself logged out, sometimes with comments half-written.

A couple things I thought of during this Fest. (Putting them here so they'll, hopefully, be easy to find.)

A "like" or "finish this" button, so people can vote for what they'd like to see finished. (The artist has no obligation to finish any particular piece, just might be neat to see.)

Would it be possible to log comment/replies to a page instead of sending an email? I strongly dislike email updates (it's the first think I disable just about everywhere), so I'm always having to manually click through images to look for comments/replies/etc. Would it be possible to log these somehow, and have a "messages" page? Something similarish to dA, but doesn't have to be that fancy. Also, the ability to one-click disable email messages, instead of deleting my email address every time, would be nice. (Could be enabled/disabled for certain categories, prompts, comments, replies, etc.)

A messages page would actually not be too difficult! The email option disable thingy is a little trickier, but also do-able. I've got these on my list now! Thank you!

Delete button added! It's now an option when you go to edit a piece.

I've been looking into this, and it's a little tricky. The site says to keep you logged in as long as you don't close your browser... but it's managed by cookies, which are controlled by individual browsers, so it's often the case that they are manually expired at your end if there's a certain period of idleness.

I'm still investigating, but it's a bit of a puzzle.

Multiple finished pieces can now be uploaded! It was actually quite easy. :)

How very odd. If I don't close my browser (I have ~all cookies set to be wiped when I close the session), I can stay logged in on most sites for days at a time, but sketchfest (and I think torn world, though the formus have a re-log-in option that works) will consider me logged out again after just a few hours (though I have not actually put a timer on it).
