Portrait Adoption site is broken.

Not *badly* broken, but it's doing that crappy, crappy thing where it regenerates all the connected files and takes out all the greymatter keys so the artist pages no longer automatically update with the addition of new entries.

This is not a problem I know how to fix - I had hoped it was a bug that went away with the newer version of greymatter.

I just...

I can't...

*breathes*

I don't have time to try and fix it right this minute. It may mean manually adding the new entries to every fricking artist page every fricking time, which means a huuuuge slowdown on getting new work up on artists pages. Not that it isn't already gimpy snail slow.

I want...

I'm going to...

I have to go do something else for a little while. I wish my back felt well enough for kickboxing or something.

I've had use for this icon a discouraging number of times since I made it.

7 more EMG pay emails, then back to the EA book. Then orders.

Edit: but that's not the worst news! The worst news is - I'm out of StarGate!!!! Aaaaahhh!

Not sure if you got my email, since my account had been fried for about 5 days now... ;) In either case - don't worry on my account. I realize that making a package for me at the moment is just adding to your pile of stresses and work, so don't worry about it. If you like, I can make some EMG fliers and put those at the table anyhow - not a hassle for me at all. :)

Ellen, maybe take a long nice bath/shower to relax, go with Jake to a dinner or something? Sounds like you're both having a hard time right now. >.< I don't know anything about webpages, or I'd volunteer to help you out. I can try and ask my hubby if you tell me exactly what the problem is.

*hugs*

I wish I KNEW what the problem was - it's some weirdo thing in greymatter buried in acres of cgi code that I barely, BARELY understand. (Ellen's recipe for webpage building: take a cookie cutter out-of-the-box code. Copy-paste and edit to customize until it breaks. Go back a step. Done.)

And *hugs* The box shouldn't be a problem to put together. Making stuff is fun. But I will put it to the end of my list, and if it doesn't get done, I won't feel like too big a turd.

I did get an email from you yesterday (I think), but my reply got bounced back at me.

If you wanted to make up some EMG fliers, that would be wonderful. I have business cards, but haven't taken the time to design anything larger.

You're the best, thanks so much!

Oh oh oh, I know how you feel. My Tarot of Prague site is broken, and honestly I could NOT bring myself to fix it at once. I just put up an apology notice and decided to redesign totally - may as well get the kick out of a total refresh.

But I sometimes wish someone else would do all this stuff - I'd rather be making pictures. I guess you feel much the same?!

Anyway, you'll get it done, you know you will. But yes - it's not a load of fun.
