Steel Bridge Team Logo
Apr. 24th, 2002 10:42 amProbably won't mean much to you unless you recognize that the Nanook (polar bear) is the UAF mascot, the snakey thing in the left panel is the pipeline (a marvel of engineering), the bridge represents the bridge team and civil engineering, and the constellation in the right panel is the big dipper (which is what is on Alaska's flag). Also, the shield separations are in the exact shape of the steel bracing that this year's steel bridge team used for their bridge. They compete this weekend down in the lower 48 somewhere. Go alma mater!
