No, I haven't fixed all of my printers yet (still not sure what the stinking problem is, but have a clue where to start on Monday...), but I DID get osCommerce to behave, and YES, process a credit card through paypal without requiring a login. HORRAY! No more 9% fees! Yay!

May have a bazaar tomorrow, but I'm not sure... I'm half-expecting a 'can you come' call at 9:30 tomorrow morning. (It starts at 10 and I'm wait-listed)

Horray for successfully wrangled program!!

(Not that I can take a lot of credit for it... my very cool webhost has a one-click install of the thing, and all I had to do was add the paypal module and configure it...)

So you can process regular credit cards through PayPal? I'm very curious how to accept payments. I take regular PayPal (4-10% fees, I believe) and accept credit cards through WorldPay (about 4-5% fees)...since I'm covering the fees, I'd be interested if there's a way to minimize them. :)

It's their pro merchant option - only available in the states, I fear, and $20 a month for the privelege. It only works through particular shopping carts, most of which are off-site based and cost out the wazoo (I was floored - they wanted HUNDREDS of dollars a month for some of these shopping carts...) OsCommerce is the only free one they listed. Since it so happened that dreamhost had the one click install of that program, it was an easy choice.

I'm not getting all the lj notifications, so just only saw your reply.

Since I'm not in the US and most our payments are done through regular creditcard payment, it be possible and probably wouldn't pay for me anyhow. Thanks for the info, though. :)

I know many of the merchant systems costs a fortune - and some even want a cut of your sales. I'm with Miva, which is very reasonable.
