Every so often, I am reminded that I do, indeed, live in the last frontier!

Matt - our yurt-dwelling assistant - was cutting wood on our land, and Norway went nuts, so he came to investigate. And for once, Norway's nuts-ness was quite justified. There was a BEAR eating our trash!!

Matt chased him off with the chainsaw. Go Matt!

So happy to have indoor plumbing right now...

Oh, man. I hope the bear doesn't take a liking to your trash and make it a habit. They've had to relocate and/or shoot bears here when they start digging through trash and getting entirely too comfortable coming in people's yards. (Me = Finn. You can't shock me with OMG!bearinmyyard. *g*)

*grin* We're pretty well stocked with bear 'round here also, though *I* haven't had them in my trash (or more likely, in my compost). That's probably because the coons and foxes beat 'em to it. We've had moose in the driveway, though. *grin*
