(Cut'n'pasted from an email with the husband, because I'm tired.)

> How's the little idiot?

I brought her home and she seemed a little better. Not perky, but she purred when I petted her (an improvement). I gave her about a teaspoon of the wet food, and she wasn't awfully interested, but ate a little. Then she went up to the catbox, strained out a little droplet of diarrhea, puked up her teaspoon of food, puked some more, and crawled under the drafting table.

She didn't like it when I wiped her butt because she was smearing poop on the floor.

I came upstairs a little later to find that she'd finally passed a hard little turd, and left it standing on end for me right in front of the bedroom door.

She's lying in front of the heater now and seems a little happier.

We need more paper towels.

Do they know what's wrong with her?

No, though I'm hoping it was just that turd that was stuck in there. If she's still sick by tomorrow or Thursday, I'll bring her back for bloodwork and tests, but she seems perkier! They gave her some antibiotics and fluids.

Our Gizmo was sick a few weeks ago - lethargic, not eating. We were going to rush him up to emergency at midnight, but he fought us when we tried to put him in his cat box. So we rang the vets back, they said that's a good sign, so we waited. He still hadn't eaten or drunk by lunchtime the next day (Sunday), so we took him to the weekend vets, they gave him antibiotics and he'd picked up by dinnertime after some of the antibiotics and I gave him a seringe of water. Was all very strange. My normal vet said it's hard to know what's wrong with cats a lot of the time.

So I hope you pudda picks up very soon - Hugs.

Poor Velcro! Hope that was all the problem and she'll be fully well really soon (says the one that freaks out every time a pet is unwell).

warm hugs to both of you from me and T.
