THAT is the reason why I don't do it very often (and need to be coerced into it). Either I choke or I gag so hard I throw up. Both defeat the purpose. (But if you can suffer and make it through it is helpful).

Gargle with Scotch instead of peroxide. More fun, tastes better, at least as effective if not more so.

I like Balmoral or Laphroiag for this; Macallan's too warmly smooth.
