This weekend, I was arty. Very, very arty. But you only get to see bits for now - some are spoilers, some I cannot share yet, and some have not yet been approved! (Also, drawing people kissing is haaaaard.)

I did ink this:

It is a half-cross-section of a typical round northern house. They use a kind of pumice-crete, a concrete mixed with light-weight pumice for lighter material that is still strong enough to build arches.

Also, a reminder, we have a 'watch' function at Torn World. You can log in, view the creators list and check any members you want to keep an eye on. Love [livejournal.com profile] ysabetwordsmith's poetry? [livejournal.com profile] wyld_dandelyon's Lalya and Dini stories? Get an email when something they created gets added to Torn World!

(I actually coded this in and announced it on June 16th, but I think people missed it, because I'm the only one actually using it...)

And remember that comments net you 5 karma until the end of the month!

The poll for the Sketch Fest site stuff is at a dead heat in several categories: http://community.livejournal.com/emglivejournal/6279.html

I've got some drafting work today, and want to clean my studio.

Also, artists, I plan to release the Fantasy Art Shop on August 1, whether you're in it or not. You want to be in it! Go submit your work! Contact me if you don't have access to the lilypad!

Drawing kisses is like drawing hands and mouths, particularly, I've found. It's all about the cheat, instead of the detail. I learned how to draw mouths, particularly mens' mouths, from Elfquest, and kisses from the X-Men comics. I think I figured out hands on my own. :) But yeah. It's a cheat. One or two sly lines, instead of immense detail.
