Business as Usual

Workin' on a webpage, with drafting to follow shortly. I'm still enormously pleased with how this map is shaping up... I want to add some more layers, such as resources (showing mines, major exports, etc.), current geopolitical boundaries, etc. But not today. Or probably tomorrow.

Art and Authoring

Have an art.

Home'n'Health

Doing my level best to convince myself that I am not lame and do not suck. I am not lame, and do not suck. I am not lame, and do not suck.

The world's failure to recognize my greatness to date is not because it does not exist. I should concentrate on the good stuff, and not the minor annoyances. I would not want the attention I crave if I had it. I am not a fizzle. There is a healthy balance to be sought between striving and satisfaction.

I am not lame, and do not suck.

Elsewhere

Hilarious article on freelancing. Strong language. Many truths.

You ARE NOT lame and you DO NOT suck.

Sometimes it helps to hear it from someone else. ;)

Honestly, you have the respect of the best part of the indie art community. That's nothing to sneeze at.

You draw, write, code, dance, and do major house renovations (involving scary chemicals), all quite impressively. Also, you make a freelancing work and herd cats online. Your to-do list is very long, but this is because you keep coming up with more cool things to do. Where did you get this astounding case of impostor syndrome?

Heh. If I knew, I would stab it with a fork. And thank you. :)

Oh dear, one of those days, eh? *gives Ellen HUGS & chocolate* You tell those evil blues that I said you are not lame and you don't suck! I go through the "I am lame and suck" cycles too. I, too, know that if I got a lot of attention that part of me wants, I probably wouldn't like it! Can you imagine being harassed all the time like a movie star, yikes! I am a lazy, lazy person, dealing with lots of attention would take up all my lazing around reading books and being on Facebook time.
----
Though these days I am also dedicated to researching for EMG-Zine articles...I have a lot of guilt tripping: "WHY aren't you DONE with this yet?! It is easy, just draw/write the damn thing!" I get caught up with trying to find out little details of what I am doing, like how exactly did they attach the strings to the harp at the top, then I can't find the info I am looking for on Google and get frustrated...
----
BTW: I am thinking of playing with the program "Blender" for the "Creation" theme. I have never played with any animation things before, though I have wanted to! I wonder if my articles look like I am just now learning most of this stuff as well. Maybe I am just a good researcher person? See, those essays for homework were good for something after all. <:)
