Award nominations open!
Jan. 2nd, 2011 02:56 pmThe Rose and Bay awards are open for nominations at the crowdfunding community: http://community.livejournal.com/crowdfunding/
If you've got a favorite artist or author who uses a crowdfunding business model, nominate them! Check the categories, there are options for art, fiction, poetry, webcomics, other project, and patron.
Torn World and EMG-Zine both qualify for nomination into the 'Other' category. Note that participants cannot make nominations, but if you read and enjoy these projects, you may! (I'm not sure, but I might also be able to qualify personally as a patron - I've supported a wide variety of crowdfunding projects directly with money, by trade for goods and services, and also do a lot to set up opportunities for artists and writers.)
(Only one nomination needed for each - please check the comments to see that no one beat you to it. :))
ETA: Oh, and Sketch Fest probably qualifies for art, too, though I didn't think of it at first!
