Doing some client coding now - I've got a few pickles figured out that I'm very pleased with my neat solutions for, and it's coming together nicely.

I'd like to squeeze in one more Muse Fusion piece before I close it up in an hour*, but I've got an appointment this afternoon and some busywork to pay the bills with. So, we'll see! There's still time to get another prompt or two in, if you're so inspired. :)

Watching various discussions on pricing writing (the .99 novel discussion) with interest and some personal head-cocking. I've been thinking about putting some of my work up at Smashwords and Amazon, so these are timely thoughts. No refined opinions yet, just stewing over things.

Another sunny day that smells like spring. I'm starting to feel spoiled. :)

Eh. .99 seems a decent pricepoint for a longish short story, or novelette/novella, but it seems too low for me as default price for a full novel. (I'd never get anything done because I'd be reading all the time...)

*laughs!* I hadn't considered THAT problem.

I'm on the same page - .99 seems reasonable for a long short story (maybe a small collection of two or three short ones), or a short novella. Actual novels? I see those settling out at $3-5. I probably won't pay more than $10 for one, but I'd be willing to cough up more than $1.

I also see the problem that if an author gets .99 for a novella OR a novel... why would anyone ever bother writing a novel?
