Good lord, that was nearly a disaster.

In the column of 'dumb things Ellen nearly did,' I had added the pages for the anthology ALL WRONG, and while I was thinking 'oh, yay, things are going together more compactly than I thought they would, maybe I can squeeze a few more things in!' I was also wondering 'huh, how am I up to so many pages already with still so much to do?'

Answer? Because I am a MORON and was 100 pages off. 100 PAGES, over a basic mathematics mistake. This? Is my shame face.

Me and my red pen will be weeping over my table of contents this evening.

I am very miffed by this, because I was so very pleased with the order of things, and the spread of artwork and the flow from story to story.

On the plus side, a good use for this icon.

Hey are you using my pencil tutorial in the anthology? Just curious.

Different anthology! This is for Torn World - the 4th EMG anthology was cancelled due to abysmal sales.

oooo I should probably pay attention then, since I totally didn't realize you were doing a different anthology LOL.

*laughs!* What, keep track of my billions of projects? I don't expect anyone to be able to do that...

...are you not doing this digitally?

I'm doing it in InDesign, but importing the stories from web format. I had a list of wordcounts, converted to approximate pages, which is what I compiled my TOC from, in two sections. But 175 + 175 is not 250, which is what I was aiming at...

Eep!

Yeah, that's a math error worthy of us dyscalculia sufferers.

Have hugs!

Let me know if this changes the priority of any of your recent "dot addict" requests.

I was thinking about something the other day - is the anthology going to have an eBook version? 'Cause I love on my Nook, and while of course I am going to buy (excessive copies) of the paper anthology, I'd love to have a eBook version

I think InDesign can do that, if not, I can source what programs do.

Oh yes! There will definitely be ebook options - pdf at the very, very least, and probably several other versions as well. I am curious to see how the artwork converts.
