It's been a really nice Christmas break. I've spent time with my in-town family (sister and husband, mostly), slept in a lot, accomplished nothing of note and not felt guilty...

Of course, that means I'm looking at this week with this expression: O.o

I have childbirth class for three hours each evening for the next three days, an anesthesiologist consult and a massage today, a hundredy billion emails and private messages to answer, four webpages to finish, orders to get out, invoicing and years-end pay to do, Sketch Fest is Friday, I've got some art to do, I want to get some writing done, I need to do some various networking, and it's 40 below, so there is wood to chop and all the other usual chores to keep up on.

Here is a cross-posted notification of various business-y things:

Sketch Fest is this Friday - it will run for 48 hours this time, so sharpen lots of pencils. :P http://www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/sketchfest/

There is a new issue of EMG-Zine up for your enjoyment and education: http://emg-zine.com/ We are looking for 'centaur' themed work for the March issue (and if you hurry, I'll still accept steampunk artwork and fiction!). http://emg-zine.com/guidelines.php And we need questions for 'Ask the Artist': http://emg-zine.com/askanartist.php

I will be ceasing to sell retail coloring books for a big chunk of 2012, so if you've got your eye on one, grab it while you can: http://www.ellenmilliongraphics.com/coloringbooks.php (Some of my wholesale clients will still have them available, but the best prices and best returns for my artists are at my site!)

Now I have to shower and get ready to go!!

Have a picture on my way out the door - new rug (on clearance, then 10% off on top of that... I'd been eyeing it for several weeks, and in the end it was nearly 50% off, plus remarkably cheap to begin with!) and our pretty wood-holder... I'll have to take better photos of it for you, but that is ONE log I chopped up. This particular batch of wood is somewhat special to me, as it's from the giant trees I played under as a child from the house where I grew up. Now they're keeping Elsa warm!

Re. "hurry," steampunk, fiction - Close of business tomorrow soon enough, or is that too slow?

Yay! Gogogogo! I wanted to do a Steam punk one, but with moving and Christmas I didn't/don't have time. :(

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I don't know if you're planning or considering an epidural, but there is no need to watch a video of them putting one in. When I watched it, I literally almost passed out. And there's no need! You can't see it anyway! It's going into your back!

Anyway, that's my indignant childbirth class rant. Enjoy the rest of it!
