Jake, generous soul that he is, gave me his dire illness after all... I had hoped I had escaped it, but woke this morning to a distinctly sore throat. By this evening, I had the run-over feeling by the bucketful. I dread tomorrow. I have dutifully been drinking fluids like crazy (more than 2 gallons of just ice water, plus teas and juice) and have a big pot of bean soup to eat from over the next few days. May be scarce while recovering. Crossing everything that Guppy doesn't get this.

(Catie, I am so glad you didn't come over and catch this...)

Yes, you did NOT NOT NOT want this. I am glad I did not pass it along to you guys. I am hopeful my parents dodge the germs, too.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you're ill! Crossing fingers, too.

... um, would you think less of me if I canceled on coming over for Sketchfest on Friday? It's more specific than just not wanting to get sick -- I'll have a family member visiting me next week who is immune-compromised, and I don't want to take a chance on accidentally picking up something awful and giving it to him. And if you're not feeling well, you might not want guests anyway.

Anyway, I'm sorry the household is currently under Plague Watch, and I hope you manage to shake it quickly!

Not only will I not think less of you, I was going to suggest the same... even without the immune-compromised guest!

Hope you'll join Sketch Fest remotely!

As long as you are still nursing, she has your own personal antibodies helping her out. This is what I've been told. However, I still get weird-ed out worrying over if my little one would get sick too. ^.^ heh.

*crosses fingers*

Agh! This sounds like the same thing our house caught two weeks ago! How did it make it from PA to Alaska? Hope you feel better soon.
