Tuesdaily - last day of childcare, anniversary, end of summer...

Do you hear that sound? That melancholy gonging noise?

That is the death bell of summer.

The leaves are turning yellow, school starts tomorrow, and it is getting dark enough at night that I am going to have to start carrying a light when I go fetch the dog for bed.

And today is the last day of my hired childcare help.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

We went to the library yesterday, checked out new books, and played on the lawn for a while. Today is comparatively miserable, weather-wise - all cold and rainy and dreary.



Today is also my Dad's birthday, and our wedding anniversary. (We joke that marrying me off was his birthday present.)

I cannot imagine my life without my awesome husband. He is a wonderful partner and father, and there are so many things I would never have done without him. We've done the most incredible things together - not limited to traveling overseas, building a house with our own hands, and raising a daughter. I love you so much, Sweetie. The last 14 years have been seriously amazing. I'm looking forward to the rest of my life with you.

This week is Finish Fest. I'm challenging artists to FINISH things that they've started for any previous Sketch Fest. Any finished pieces uploaded to the site this week will be entered for prizes!

Alrighty, getting orders together and getting this day on the move...
