ellenmillionI do not have a sewing machine, and I'm not the amazing seamstress my Mom is, but I do have a hot glue gun and a roll of duct tape. I spent the precious hours of quiet time today making duct tape spikes and cutting out an Astrid (from How to Train Your Dragon) skirt. It turned out AMAZING, and when I got Guppy up to try it on, she refused to.
I've decided that I will go to her Halloween party as Astrid, and she can go as an orphan.

She decided to try everything on.
BEHOLD my duct tape spikes! And the headband with velcro sizing! The tiny skulls! The cut-up sock arm-warmers! The discount axe! (I do need to re-hot-glue two of the spikes, but it appears to be pretty sturdy as a whole.)
The whole thing was less than $20, and beats the snot out of anything in a plastic bag.
(This did mean no #inktobers today, nor words. IT WAS WORTH IT.)
