Weekend report!

I did a crazy six pieces for Sketch Fest this weekend, two little paintings, three big sketches that might become coloring pages, and a colored pencil on toned paper piece that I then finished into a PA portrait:



With my big Secret Project turned in, and the 78Tarot piece turned in, I feel like weight is off my shoulders. I've got about 1150 words in on my next not-a-book. I've been doing random artwork for fun. I've been looking at projects I haven't had the energy to examine lately. I have enough stories in my head to start a library. I'm even back at the gym once a week! My inbox is at 318, which is not awful. (For me.)

Daylight savings is messing with my head. Tomorrow morning is going to be terrible; it was finally to the point where it was just starting to get light when the alarm went off, and now it's going to be an hour darker when I have to get up. Guppy actually got up tonight to say, "Mom? Did you put me to bed early? Because it's still really light out."

I assured her that I was not trying to pull a fast one on her.

(Also, the subject of this post puts the 'creature report' song from Octonauts straight into my head. AGH.)

I am sorry to laugh at your pain, but ... XD

I keep trying to describe that show to people and failing to capture its sheer bizarreness. I think peak toddler cartoon has been achieved.

On the (limited) upside, I've learned a lot about really obscure aquatic animals. Like seapigs and waterbears and blobfish. (No bloblem!)

I hate daylight-savings time. :( I wish we'd get rid of it.
It's not our turn yet though; still about 2 weeks left to go before we set our clocks ahead...

Is it possible you're having a hotlinking problem? I'm seeing broken pictures since a couple a days, here in LJ, but also on the PA you're linking to here. Only when I rightclick "open image in new tab" can I see them.

That's... interesting! What browser are you using? Is it possible you've set hotlink.ellenmilliongraphics.com to be blocked? I'm seeing them embedded in my LJ entries with no trouble.

Found it! Privacy badger was blocking it (in Chrome).
