Shoes! Shoeses!

I just bought new shoes. $90 shoes (erk!), but I needed them badly. For about two years now, I've been wandering around work in my stocking feet. This appalls my military-school-raised husband something fierce (and wears out my socks) and he's been razzing me to go buy comfy pretty shoes for about that long.

So I did.

Doc Martin's, mary jane style in black. And they're comfy and cute and it's weird wearing them.

I feel girly.

*giggle* I habitually took my shoes off at work, too. I don't like wearing shoes that many hours in a row!

Doc Martens are awesome! Although I object to the notion that not wearing shoes is bad, less one's feet needs them to stay warm.

I've have my two pairs of mary-janes docs since Jr. High. They're so old and comfy, that I painted one pair purple over the years, and made the other pair a psycadellic cacaphony in multi-colored sharpies (both shoes were light-colored leather to begin with). Those shoes might have been expensive, but you will have them *forever*
