Snow...

It is snowing. So. Slowly.

A flake.

Pause.

TWO flakes.

Pause.

Another flake.

Longer pause.

A flake. A flake. A flake.

Pause.

Pause.

A flake.

There is no accumulation on the ground yet. It's cold, and I watched one hit the ground without melting, but there's only a flake or two per square foot, so it's not really registering visually.

Wrote this morning, working on emails now. Then a snack, orders until lunch, the second coloring book, some art, more orders, and then I need to mop the floor.

I feel enormously better than I did before Tuesday. I can bend and lift again without wincing. I really had no concept of how much pain I was in until it was gone.

I have a helluva schedule ahead of me this next week, so expect a quiet me for a while.

For sale!

One Xyron 510 Creative Station thingy. Here's the official page: http://www.xyron.com/enUS/ProductAccessories/Xyron_510.html

I have upgraded to the 900 and am looking to foist off my 510 and the supplies I have in stock for it. I have 18' repositionable adhesive (unopened), (2) 18' permantent adhesives (unopened) and about half of a third cartridge, 7' laminate/magnet (unopened), 18' double laminate (each side, unopened) and just a little bit of laminate/permanent adhesive. Plus, the Xyron itself, and the 'inspiration book' that came with my 900. It's in fabulous shape, still works great. The cutter may be the only part in need of service - I have, after all used it a great deal, no getting around that. I didn't use the cutter an awful lot, because I'd make huge batches of things at once, and just spool them out into a huge string of magnets or stickers and cut once at the end of the roll. But it's still been used. Highway miles, right?

I add that up to about $97 in refills based on their pricing (I paid a little more because I live in the middle of nowhere), and then the machine is $50 (but includes one of the permanent cartridges). I'd like around $50 + $20 shipping for the whole batch. OBO.

I'd take offers of other trade items, too. Screening comments!

Sold.

2003 was the year I sort of got serious about art. Oh, I tried to get serious about art back in 2000 when I attempted to go freelance, but the disaster that it was - though it taught me many valuable things about requiring deposits on portraits and How Not To Make a Living At Art - sort of shied me away from serious art for a while. By 2003, I had a nice comfy job, sort of using my degree, and business was a nice sideline for the time. I pretty much didn't take commissions during this time, and doodled. Frittered, if you will. The muse, however, began to feel slighted, and took me by the scruff of the neck and said - darn you, do some stuff. Some finished stuff.

I bet you thought I'd forgotten about these! Hah!
