EMG-Zine Retrospective - January 2008 - June 2008

Starting our third (!) year saw several changes. Annie Rodrigue stepped down from Behind the Art, and the reins were taken up by Melissa Acker. Giovanna Adams started a spotlight column, which would feature both historical and current artists, and we introduced two comics: Falheria by Erika Harm (a humerous spot) and a reprint of Tomb of the Kings, by Laura Melis (a graphic novel). Our first theme for the year was 'Dawn,' with a cover by T. Allison.

Not a retrospective! Baby videos! Writing report!

I am something other than EMG-Zine retrospectives! I am!

I am also a bringer of cute baby videos - including struggling with a washcloth and playing with the kitty.

In a fit of inspiration, I wrote the missing story for the Rails storyline over the last few days, and sent it off to character owners for approvals. Yes! Jumping the Rails Part 1 is up at Torn World. It's rated spicy, so you have to be logged in to view it. (This policy is under discussion, actually - I'm thinking about allowing unregistered readers to read spicy - and maybe even adult - pieces, but make them click through a warning link to get there.)

Laundry is done, fire is afire, baby is happily babbling at my feet with a toy. I would write some more (the end! It is in sight!), but have WORK work to do, so I'm off to do that now.
