Any of you folks know how art would be applied to a motorcycle gas tank, short of airbrushing on freehand? Any digital methods out there?

I'm off to google, but figured I'd first milk my very informed friendslist. :)

I'm not sure /where/ you'd go. But there are companies who specialize in "stickers" for vehicles. Basically its a latex, printed on via special means. There are other methods too.

Saw it on an episode of "MTV: Pimp my Ride".

I'm sure you can find these companies online some where. Larger manufactuers and specialits in the vechile modification industry use these techniques quite often.

:) Good Luck! Its likey very expensiove though. :P

Decals.

There are some very elaboate and sophisticated decal printing places out there--I did a couple of dog-grooming vans that had six foot high art, and they took it to the decal shop, had 'em printed out, and slapped them on the side of the vans. Infinitely easier than painting on freehand, and you can remove 'em when you want to sell the thing.
