Date: 2004-10-11 02:31 pm (UTC)It wasn't exactly a planned attack, I'm sure. It was after dark, I was home alone, and I wanted an icecream bar. Our freezer is outside, so I opened up the door and startled the poor creature, who had apparently been scrounging for food by the front door. Ptarmagin are not the best of flyers, and it was pointed in my direction, so it sure felt like I was being attacked by a chicken-sized white, ghost-y, very flappy thing. I shrieked like a girl and slammed the door.
But I really wanted my ice cream, so I took some deep breaths and opened the door again. The bird had come back, so I startled it again, (this time I managed to not quite shriek) and it flew off this time. I still slammed the door and had to take more breaths before I could FINALLY go outside and get my darn ice cream bar.
Jake laughed and laughed when I told him the story! :P
