*guilt* I should be working... Apparently I have the willpower of a slug.

Trying to decide if I like that extra hair.

Then I went off on another track...

And changed my composition again...

I like the change in the shape of the head and face, but I preferred it without the extra hair :)

ARg, I can't decide if I like the extra hair or not! I think it's really interesting, but I feel like it should twist into a celtic knot in another area also. That's it I think - I really like the effect, but I think it's a bit off balance with only one area knotted. I love the final rendering with the flower, too. It's just playful. ^_^

The celtic knot bit needs companion knots for it to work, otherwise it looks strange and very much like you changed your mind mid-composition. If you can't think of good places to add them (and I suggest a few of them, not just one more), scrap it and stick with that art-nouveau inspired thing you have going.

Also not sure about enlarging the composition so much to add the random spiky thing to the side (a sun?) - may make the picture too busy. May not, however, if it balances out her swirls of hair properly and doesn't compete with them. That's the important thing!

I definitely like her arms out more than crossed, if you enlarge the composition. Either a tight crop around the head (but without cutting any of the hair off) and the head seeming to appear out of space, or arms out like in the last one. Not the crossed arms (if I'm seeing the second to last one right), the crossed arms close up the picture.

I really like the change in the shape of her face!

Adding some yellow, like you have with the sketchy spiky thing, is a good idea. It'll add some needed contrast to the colour scheme and make it really lovely.

I do hope this was coherent, it's my bedtime but I had to give input before I went! :)

I like the change in the face shape/shadowing. Am not as keen on the extra hair or the expanded composition. If you keep the extra hair, I like it better flowy and less knot-like. It's not a very celtic composition, but if you introduce knotwork, it makes me wonder why it's there. It also makes me wonder...how does her hair DO that? If you keep the expanded compositions, in the bottom one, the spiky thing needs to move a bit to the upper right, for balance, I think. Also the shoulder proportions, compared to her head, seem just a wee bit too small (although that's not a problem in the pose above it, where her arms are crossed).

Eh, it's just my .02; ignore as you like. :)

Have a great Turkey Day!
