What exactly *is* your obsession with dots, anyway? I mean, you do them wonderfully, but surely you're aware of less painful techniques, like crosshatching?
I really like the perspective of this piece. A lot of people don't bother to create a background in their drawings...but you can tell that this one is laid out so that there was no escaping a background and I think that is commendable. Personally I like the dots...every medium has its own integrity and I like what pointillism (two L's or one? I forget) does for this work...
Oh - I've only just seen this. It's lovely - I really, really LIKE the fact that there is so much detail and care. The dots work beautifully - I think it looks more hazy and underwatery (is that a word?) than cross-hatching would.
