About Feb 1

So I guess my last post deserves a little clarification.

February 1, EMG opens to new artists.

Feb 1 is also my personal deadline on an art project that is due the 15th.

I have to get another 50 or so EMG designs up before Feb 1.

I also plan on doing a personal Nanowrimo in February.

I am terrified I am incapable of doing any of these things.

I don't know if I'm more frightened that I will get such an influx of interested artists that I have no hope of keeping up with it, or more frightened that *nobody* will submit and I will feel stupid and unloved. They're both scary.

And who am I kidding, thinking I can write a novel. A novel? The most I've done is write some loosely connected short stories. Can I do a whole book? That's intimidating! And of course, the second question is, can I write a book anyone would want to *read*? I dunno...

So basically, I had some insecurity going on in my little pea brain this weekend. This week I shall be so busy, I shalln't have time to worry.

That's the ticket...

I have a quick question... I'm sure you've said this before, but I can't find the answer on your site... Can existing EMG artists submit new work anytime, or do we have to wait for February as well? (I can't remember!!)

Ellen, my dear, if I can write an entire novel, I'm certain you can. ;)

Alas, I won't be submitting anything this time around; I haven't painted anything worth showing off with my tablet yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get a scanner not too long after I move to Finland, so I can share more designs. I have some ideas that might work out really well... :)

I had hoped to be prepared to send in a new artist thing come Feb 1st, but time crept up on me, and I'm just not ready! Sigh. Ah, well. Good luck with the PerNoWriMo. ;)

Well, I intend on submitting stuff to EMG soonish.. but I'm not sure I really have much to submit right now, so I wouldn't do it right away. >_> So like... if few people come charging up to give you new stuff, let your LJ know that the coast is clear (so to speak) and stuff and I'll submit, otherwise, I'll just put it off awhile. :)
