Ya know, for cutting these out laboriously by hand, I think I did a darn good job getting them all uniform. *smug*

The icon is Tristan from King Arthur- the text is the rest of the quote by him - "We all die some day. If it's death by a saxon hand that frightens you, stay home."

It was made by a friend. :)

By hand! With scissors! (The corners are radiused with a hand punch, fortunately)

Oh, no! It was a collaborative project - I think there were 15 or 20 artists by the end. Someday, maybe! I did five or six designs (the blue one with the two moons is mine) and all the printing and layout and stuff. :)

An EQ fanclub, we collaborated on this deck. Five years, it took, but they're DONE! Just in time, you may remember, for the club to close down. :/

Can you believe I've never read Elfquest? Not a single one. I wouldn't know where to start at this point. But I do know someone with an originl Wendy Pini on her wall. It's a mad mad world.

The first four graphic novels are easily the best - they started getting a little weird after book 7, I thought. And that is unexpected! I thought *I'd* discovered them late in life!

Thank goodness. I saw those images and I didn't know what they were really based on but I kept thinking "someone's an EQ fan".

They look great. How did you get the images onto the cards? Regular printer? Special card sheets? Sorry, I'm so nosy. :)

My Epson 1280, but on the plain paper setting, just plain old white cardstock, 10 to an 11 x 17" page. Then laminated with 3 mil lamination (the whole 11 x 17 sheet), cut out into the cards, and corner-radiused with a handheld punch. I want to try it again with some of the really nice paper I've got around and see how nice it looks. (Probably be waaaay too expensive/time intensive to actually offer them as a product, but I'm such a sucker for projects...)

I'm astounded that you cut those out BY HAND!! I have a hard enough time cutting illustration board to get it even! Gads, that must've taken forever!
