Cause it's not like I have, what? six or seven pieces in progress...

I'm strongly thinking of cropping this a little tighter so the central figure isn't so centered (and because that guy is too big and is screwing up my perspective...).

Is this your Atlantis piece?

If I had read the cut, I wouldn't had asked such a dumb question, I'm sorry -_-

But I love it, even in this preliminary stage.

It reminds me to get to work on my own. But I've been in such a terrible slump.

Very cool, I love the centre figure, but you're right about the guy to her left. Perhaps push him further back and more to the centre?

oh wow. I think its some of your more intriguing pieces, from the ones you've posted up here. Love the central figure and the other ones -- but yeah, you're right about the guy.. *ponders*

Not that you actually asked for opinions (or know me) or anything *chuckle*, but...

As is, the temple, the line of the main figure's body and the crest of the wave are centered vertically. If it was me, I'd crop off the guy on the right side and slide the crest of the wave to the left to get it out of the line of the girl/temple. As is, I don't think it's a bad composition though, I just think it could be stronger.

I really like the sketch though and look forward to seeing it completed.

oooh nice sketch, Ellen! I agree with Shoka. I think that would fix the perspective problem. :) Another thing you might want to try is to bring the central figure closer to the fore ground and "down" some. This will give a better view of the temple and make her look closer while the others are farther away, which is what you want right?

Either way, I know you'll make good choices and this will be great!
