I am so SICK of being sick... this is day 15 of this stupid cold. It's worst when I try to sleep - wracking coughs as soon as I lie down - but today is more than usually stuffy again, and my throat hurts.

Won't slow me down. Won't let it...

Thinking about signing up with NetFlix 'cause I'm sick of rentals being overdue... anyone a member with horror or otherwise stories?

Also - there's a new EMG forum! Members and non-members welcome to come discuss stuff.

Yikes! Get better soon, Ellen!

A whole lot of my friends use NetFlix, and they love it. Haven't heard a horror story yet. I tried it on a trial basis last summer and it was pretty awesome. The movies arrive fairly quickly, and returning them is super easy. I canceled it though, since living with my roommate is like having an in-home rental place.

Love love LOVE my Netflix account. Indie films, TV shows, foreign films. Very very few things they don't have. No hassles if a DVD arrives and doesn't work or gets busted in transit (both have happened). They've shipped replacement copies even before receiving the bad copy....Of course I get to maximize my usage of them, because one of their distribution points is just up the road from my house, so mail turnaround is usually 3 days from when I put a returning movie in the mail to when I get the next one back.

I LOVE NETFLIX!

I've never had a problem with them. Once one of the movies we ordered apparently got lost in the mail, and they sent a replacement within 24 hours. We almost always get our movies the next day after ordering them. No late fees = love!

Not to mention, they have just about everything ever made on DVD, which is awesome.

Apparently the Satan's Own Headcold I had last month has made it halfway around the world. Much sympathy (and a little reminder that you should probably go see a doctor if you can).

Another Netflix advocate. :)

We also have a distribution point in town so our turnaround is quick. We use it mainly for TV series, though we occasionally request a movie... We've been able to try out all those Japanese anime series we hear about that the Blockbuster doesn't have. :)

We've had a couple broken disks, but like they said above, they always sent a replacement disk right away. No complaints here.

The only detractor we've noticed is that it's not as spontaneous as going to the video store and just renting something you're in the mood for Now.

I second the motion to see your Doc...15 days of this eh? Sounds like you might have a bit of pneumonia- or at least bronchitis. Please take care of yourself with the same zeal you have for your art.

Poor sick you!
I had a cold for three effing weeks. I wanted to chop my head off.
Netflix is awesome, btw. They have EVERYTHING. I've had them for about a year. Love love love the netflix. And if you are like me and ship em back as soon as you watch them, it ends up being cheaper to boot.
