I thought I had LOTS of books. I did... there were boxes and boxes! Everytime we moved I found more I could part with, because I was so sure I had TOO many books. Now? I have empty-looking bookcases. O.o

I know, I know, it's just dimension lumber, and we had to put screws in it because the boards were warped, and the Yankee Workshop would laugh us out of the house, but we built them! And they look fine to me! And they have books!

The winner of last night's poll - long before everyone had cast votes - was going to bed. Jake came home from the public meeting just then, and we had homemade sourdough whole-wheat-y rolls that were dense, but not the hockey pucks I'd feared, and went to bed. (Jake's one of the lead engineers on the Stampede Road project, for any locals following that... the meeting was not nearly as hostile as he'd feared.)

i hate giving away my books.. but matt and I had doubles and some we just absolutely hated when we read them..

but if we took them all out of storage, I'd fill the 4 bookshelves I've got in here :x

Maybe the new shelves look vacant at the moment, but now you can FILL THEM UP AGAIN!

... it never ceases to amaze me how quickly one can do that. I divested myself of a lot of books when I left Illinois 2 years ago, and already I think I need to build more shelves of my own...
