Muuuust have break...
Mar. 16th, 2006 03:56 pmPrinting and printing and drawing and taxes, oh my!
I've got half dozen prints matted to 16 x 20, and maybe a dozen little matted cards done, and a billion mousepads and t-shirts and cards still to make.
I could just scream at Dateline... I sent Matt to get my paper cut in half (he was going to be right there anyway...) and they ruined my paper. $32 worth of paper, miscut. They can't even do a $1 job right! So fed up with them. I gotta find another place in town with one of those big guillotine cutters to get my cardstock cut with. That was the last of my card paper, too. RARGH!
I need a snack. And a hug. And a stiff drink.

Date: 2006-03-17 03:13 pm (UTC)"But I might mess it up!"
I always want to say " And how do you think *I* feel?! If I mess up you'll want a replacement on the house, if YOU mess up then you have to buy another one."
We just replaced the cutter last December, the older one was cutting off by about 1/4" (very annoying). Once I got blamed by a girl as her cause for cutting things off... I wandered by and I'd told her "Don't take the cutter off the metal guide, or it will cut wrong.."
"I know, I've used it before"
Then later I was on my break (the cutter was on the guide) the girl complains to my manager " I know it says on the sign that the store isn't responsible for (errors in) cutting, but it's cutting crooked."
Manager says " Well, you have to cut it holding it flat against the OTHER side (as in the side closest to where you stand to chop the paper)" Her: "Your employee just stood there and watched me do it!"
I was actually looking stuff up on the computer for something else, wasn't paying any attention to them (and people have cut it against the farthest side without problem before)... Stood there watching her cut it wrong my ass! I gave her help once and was told she knew how to use the cutter! That made me SO mad, what a jerk.
(He ended up giving her new boards and sending her on her way)
Speaking of work...
(BTW, I had a dream last night that the picture I finished last night got adopted by you on PA. :) )
