Email is down again, mostly. Every 5 out of 6 actions results in IMAP connections getting dropped, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to reply to anything, and seriously frustrating trying to read anything. Dreamhost had better kiss some serious butt after this. I've got like 250 emails to answer. And accumulating. And I can't get to my orders to actually fill them.

Rrrrr....

Also, exempt shipping is OUT OF HERE. I will refund shipping on web adoption orders, or something, because it is just stupid how many people think 'oh, I will utterly ignore that part that says for web adoption only and select THAT because it is FREE.'

Also, there are yellow jackets like crazy out, and it is very, very unnerving sitting in the outhouse with them crawling around on me trying to get down my pants. I am deathly allergic to them, they are nasty mean creatures and they tickle when they're walking around on fragile, bare flesh. Also, they do that little twitchy thing like they're going to sting just for the heck of it, and it's very, very hard not to flinch.

(It is, however, kind of cool (in a Discover channel kind of way) to watch them snatch flies out of the air and curl around to sting them to death while they're flying. Acrobatic little bastards.)

Also, I have broken my invoicing program.

I was awake for about 4 hours last night trying to shut my brain off enough to sleep. The only real conclusion I came to in that time is that mean and selfish people get ahead in this world, even if they shouldn't. That it took me 30 years to admit this is probably a clue that I'm not as smart as I think I am.

So, no, not a great start to my day.

One of Dreamhost's core routers is b0rked -- they have a call in to Cisco to figure out what's going on. Joy...

I'm allergic to yellow jackets too. REEEEEEEELLLLY don't like them. ::twitch::

*twitch* Yellow Jackets... one of those little bastards STUNG Aiden last week. Everything went in slow motion as I saw it crawling up his neck after it'd one its deed. I flicked it off and... destroyed it. Thankfully despite my near hysterics and Aiden's pained shrieking for the next hour, he wasn't allergic to it. (I am, so I worried) uuugh.. bugses...

Anyhow, since email is being a pain in the ass I'll ask you here: Tutorial is coming along, but as I'm finishing up commissions it might be done on say.. the 4th rather than the 1st. Would that still work?

No problem at all on the extension!

Yellow jackets are nasty, nasty. I wasn't allergic until my third sting - they are cumulative. Just in case he gets stung again, don't think you're out of the woods!

Shipping: Yeah, people will see what they want to see, or won't see it. This happened with a school order Utrecht did, free shipping on anything over $150. unfotunately they didn't seem to see the little * that says if you order lots of heavy stuff you have to pay for shipping. My boss let them have the free shipping (lots and lots of canvas boards, it gets really heavy). :p

Wow, I thought it was only guys who were lecherous (sp?)... ;) I think if I saw wasps in the outhouse I'd go find a bush. :)

Yeah how about the mean and selfish thing, it's no fair...they also get through the lights...they like to do it when it's obviously been red for two or three seconds..or they try to run you over when you are on a bkie...

ugh...yellowjackets. :( my dad used to sit on the back porch for hours with a fly-swatter just so he could smack them. then he'd kill whichever ones came by to check out the dead ones. o_O but, at our house, it's wasps and fireants currently...equally nasty lil' buggers. my toes are covered with fireant bites. :P

Sure mean can get a temporary advantage, but how much repeat business? Besides if you have a conscience to live with being mean would only give you ulcers anyway.

Aye, but are they REALLY getting ahead? Or are they making it more obvious to all, who and what they really are, and by their own words and pics no less? ;) Karma, Children,..Karma.
