Some random notes for Tuesday

Last 3 episodes of Season 8 StarGate are easily the best yet, even nudging out my previous favorites. I laughed so hard I almost cried and Jake hollered downstairs to make sure I was okay.

Cleaned the connex box yesterday, and installed a whole new shelf. I have space again! The boxes of t-shirts moved out there, and actually got put away, along with all the displaced stuff that had been filling up the aisles. Very happy. I can order more stuff again and am sorely, sorely tempted to.

Have learned more about arrays and loops than I ever really wanted to. Am particularly excelling at breaking them.

EMG-Zine theme: currently seeking Belly Dancing/Arabian Nights type fiction and artwork! Get 'em in!

EMG-Zine anthology: still rocking! Would like to be finished by the end of the week, but we'll see - lots to do before the end of the week.

Cut my hair off short last night (as short as I've had it since grade school, I think) and am seriously considering flaming red hair dye.

Going back to middle school to talk to kids about art careers on Thursday. Ack!! Had nightmares about it last night - hate public speaking and need to do it more.

I adored Nerdy Sam. She was so cute. The problem with Sam as a character is she never gets to do the fun episodes (she was the only one who didn't get to body-hop in the body-hopping eps, f'rex), so her getting a chance to play a different character was great. :)

Hey Ellen, would you like a walkthrough for my Dragon thrall painting? ( http://www.nicolecadet.com/Images/NCadetDragonThrall.jpg ) It's kind a collection of the screenshots I did (I know I posted a few online with some comments), plus a few more I never put online, and commentary on a few aspects such as skin colours, composition, using Painter... that kind of thing (kind of process of creating the painting rather than any specific techniques). I can get it into the right format by the weekend if you wish.
