Tell me a Story
Mar. 6th, 2007 10:31 amWell, my money news just got worse after yesterday evening, so I'm in pretty desperate times, here. I have agreed to go get a job (yeah, full-time) soon, if I cannot get something else to work. That doesn't mean I'm giving up on the business, but I will have to cut it back.
But, I'm trying something else today, and we'll see how that goes.
Tell me a Story.
These commissions usually *start* at $150, so this is a heck of a deal. It's a project I've been toying with for a while anyway, I love doing this kind of art, and I think this will be fun. Please take a look, and if you're interested in this kind of custom art from me, this may be a golden opportunity!
If that's not your cup of tea, consider visiting my Portrait Adoption page and adopting a character, or commission your own piece.
I also have a number of originals and limited editions available through my own site - I debated putting some up on eBay, but honestly, what a pain. If you see something you'd like that is just out of your pricerange, let me know your best offer and I'll cut you a deal without going through a middleman.
Please, help keep me in business! You can't believe the blow to my pride that this is (vain creature that I am), having to ask like this. And do believe me when I say EMG is still doing okay - I paid out more than $20,000 to artists and doubled sales for the third year running in 2006, so I can't consider that it's *failed* - it's just not able to make my ends meet right now... (EMG money is held separately, I don't just dip into it as I need!) not with this recent string of luck. I took the slow and steady method of growth, which isn't going to put me on the cover of the Economist this decade, but I still think it'll be a long-term success and I'm not entirely dismal about it just 'cause it's not able to pay me bunches yet. I'm busy paying other people with it.
I'm also not quite too proud to ask you to pass this on if you know anyone else who may be interested!
