I pretty much took the day off. (shock, gasp)

I slept late, took a nap, watched a movie (Anchorman, v. funny), washed some dishes, ate good food, outlined a story, and worked on this:





Very rough, still, but I'm stopping for a bit while I still don't hate it.

That is turning out really nicely! I love the mythos of the turtle carrying tghe world on its back. :)

One thing I noticed though, (not sure if it is important to you?) but turtles always have 12-14 main scutes on their backs - the number is really signifigant to many cultures and in these creation myths. :) Usually turtles have 13, which corresponds with 13 months of 28 days... the calendar, the cosmos. So I'm not sure if your numbering is important or not, but I thought I'd share! http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=17&cat=1797&articleid=2700 is a little link that has some info on the anatomy. :)
