Anything but roses...
Feb. 24th, 2008 10:05 pmWell, I'm done inking roses for a while!
(I will have to paint this sucker, eventually, but the inking is done!)

Finished this over several episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek and Babylon 5. My eyes are about crossed over it, and though it's time for bed, I'm still slightly wound up from the concentration that inking is.
Did get orders out this weekend, but not all of them. Should have been good and worked on them more today, but it felt good to watch brain candy and do art and spend time with my sweetie. Have a tough week of dayjob ahead, and I still have a lot of before-March things to finish for EMG-Zine and EMG. One coloring book is in to the printers, another is nearly complete. I got few thousand words on a short story that just needs a little tie up (and I finally figured out what the tie up would be!) and haven't touched the articles I want to finish. An intense weekend, but good!
PS: I am a sensitive artist, and if you don't comment on the Roses I will assume you all hate it and cry bitterly.
PPS: No, not really, but I sure would love comments.

Date: 2008-02-25 04:20 pm (UTC)You really do lovely ink work. And the roses are just perfect. I like the way that it tells a story. Looks like boy in the foreground killed horned man and lady in the foreground isn't too happy about it.
Boy's pose looks a little bit awkward, but it looks like he is in a pretty awkward situation, to say the least. He looks very lost and confused.
That's my interpretation, anyway!

Date: 2008-02-26 05:39 am (UTC)You kept your sanity very well while inking all of that Ellen. Its gorgeous! Your patience totally shows in the lines.
(And here's to hoping your inking finger feels better soon too. I know that blister, its an annoying one to have.)
