Flu - 3, Ellen - 0

I'm beginning to suspect this is some kind of horrible mutant fungus that I caught wandering around in the moldy post-flood basements of Nenana. Itchy green scales and spiny ridges should be sprouting any day now. Then I shall go on a downtown rampage, devouring tasty people and looking for a place to lay eggs.

(Possibly, I should not watch so many episodes of Buffy when I have a fever.)

Also, Jake set up the antenna and we have some TV reception. I am not impressed. TV seems to have gotten even stupider while I was away from it. Jumping through a hole in the wall is now a televised game? Clearly I haven't missed much.

Yeah, we are watching that right now... they say it is really popular in Japan, and other places. I don't really see how it could be interesting after watching one episode though.

Here's hoping you feel better soon. (And yes, television is lame. Stick to the DVDs...)

There are some good shows. Food Network all the way!! And some HGTV. And Discovery. And Animal Planet. Okay, if you don't have cable, pretty much forget about it. :P

Yeah, there's plenty of crap on TV, but there is still some good stuff...

If you're a Buffy fan, I'd definately recommend both Supernatural and Reaper (both on CW). Eureka is also awesome (on Sci-Fi, but you should rent it). I'm also a big fan of Bones and Numb3ers, both of which you might dig. Oh, and Heroes! How could I forget.... :)

Ugh, hope you get better soon! But it's good to have an excuse to just sit and watch Buffy, right?!?

My parents are in Alaska right now, so I thought of you :)

The more Rick & I see TV -- actual broadcast stuff -- the more glad we are that our particular chunk of mountain blocks regular reception, probably blocks satellite, and we're too far off the track for cable. I tried watching a late night movie t'other eve at my dad's and it nearly drove me crazy with ads.

I figure, good stuff coems out on DVD or our friend will TiVo it...
