Oh dear.

See, I have this jacket, which my last job bought me, and it's fabulous, but it has their logos embroidered on it, and it's weird to wear. I will buy a StarGate patch! I thought, in a fit of brilliance this morning. I can sew it right over the logo on my arm, anyway. The one on my chest is probably too big to cover with a standard patch. The other arm is just an American flag, which I'm sort of neutral on. It could be cooler, but I don't actively object.

What I didn't anticipate is how many CHOICES of StarGate patch there are: http://www.intergalactictrading.com/shop.cfm?SearchFor=stargate+patch&x=0&y=0

Do I want the StarGate project patch, or the SG-1? Could I pull off a command patch? Why is there SG-1 and SG-12, but no SG-2-11? What the heck is the thing on the Atlantis patch? I wish they had sizes listed... I wonder if a Hator patch would cover the one on the front.

Ah, the trials of being a geek.

Also, alas, my heated seat will not be installed until the Monday after the Goddess Fest. Rats. I mean, frell.

Edit to Add: O.M.G. I have to get this and put it over the chest logo: http://cgi.ebay.com/Terminator-Movies-Cyberdyne-Systems-Logo-Patch_W0QQitemZ380068428583QQihZ025QQcategoryZ153QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

It's exactly the right size. Mwahahahahaha.

They even have Galaxy Quest patches... http://cgi.ebay.com/Galaxy-Quest-Movie-Command-Uniform-Embroidered-Patch_W0QQitemZ380068140190QQihZ025QQcategoryZ153QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

Pegasus - I don't know why it's on there, but there it is. I've seen there be sold at some of our conventions, but never that wide a range, I think. :-)

I like the Project patch. :)

Yeah, the SGA patch is a "Pegasus Galaxy" thing.

If it was me, I'd get the Project patch. It's the most subtle, and I like that. (Besides, to be geeky: it is a patch to which any citizen of Earth is entitled, you know? Because all it does is identify our planet.)

I always thought the project patch with the Earth and Taur'i (or wherever you put the apostrophe) symbol surrounded by Earth's coordinates was the coolest. The SG-1 patch, like the SGC logo, features the chevron design that always looked vaguely like a cobra to me, and that sort of weirds me out, for some reason.

If they would let me keep my Apocalypse Design coat when I leave my current job, I would so do this. Alas! It shall be confiscated. *sniff*

They won't let you keep it?! Rats! Apocalypse makes GOOD stuff.

I know! And it's a full-length shell with a zip out polar fleece jacket liner. *sigh* I'm going to miss it. (Of course to hide the logo I'd have to get something to basically cover my entire back, but still...)

But then, that's probably why they won't let me keep it. That sucker cost some serious dough.

OK, so I'm not an SG-geek, but that Cyberdyne patch is sweet... :D

It's so perfectly subtle - sort of like a Geek litmus. Will Joe Public recognize it?

Must get the Cyberdyne patch! Too cool! A Cyberdyne jacket would kick-ass! :>

Now I wanna make a geek jacket....

Some, maybe. While Terminator does have some geek/non-geek x-over with T2 and the new show, it'd probably be more of a "that name sounds familiar, where have I heard that before...).

I could probably make one of those employee 2 1/4" buttons to wear: Ask Me About Hostile World Takeover by Intelligent Robots!

Hey, I did a similar thing with a company jacket I really liked! Though mine wasn't as cool as yours is going to be :)
