I'm at 778 words! Woo! Almost halfway there, and already procrastinating with an LJ entry!

Actually, I just came back from a death march through the woods. (Jake likes to make sure that our exercise is EXERCISE, not wussy strolling through the snow.) It was lovely out, and we saw a spot where an owl had landed on something small and delicious. You could see every feather imprinted in the snow. We figure it must have had a 3' wingspan.

Now, hot chocolate, and a thousand words or so.

Yay, Ellen! I outdid my own expectations today and did 2,202! I'm hoping I can maintain that momentum. I kept having to stop myself editing as I was writing today, though - one of the pitfalls, I've read, is trying to write perfection in the first draft. Must...resist...self-editing...while...writing!

I saw your word count, good going! I didn't quite make the goal yesterday. I was rereading some of the stuff I wrote before, trying to figure out where I wanted to go next (and editing, it is hard to not edit, I actually got a few more words that way though). I guess I should make this novel a trilogy. :)
