Picture postcard - without pictures
Jan. 22nd, 2009 09:50 amYesterday, driving around for work, I wish I'd had a video camera. It was a tourist's dream. Mother nature had responded to my memo of displeasure with several inches of fluffy snow, and everything was pretty again.
First, I passed the Dogsled Crossing sign with a picture perfect dogteam framed right behind it - complete with musher with fur-trimmed hood. *click!*
Then, I passed two moose in the big snowy ditch. *click!*
Then I came up over the hill to see the Alaska range out in all its grand granite glory. *click!*
Then I drove past the folding-in-half permafrost house across from Ballaine Lake, which is always a hoot.
I like where I live!

I'm glad you've got some of your pretty snow back! :D
