I'm feeling a little crazed!

Tonight I have three big orders to fill, taxes to finish, bills to pay and laundry to do (or it won't dry in time to pack). Then I have to pack, work a full day at the saltmines tomorrow, set my site to be away (autoreply, change the order messages, change the order pages...).

I've got a freelance web job that needs to also be finished tonight (if they solve their upload problems and get back to me, anyway...) and a billion and three emails in my inbox.

Some of that will be solved before I go. Some of it will not. I'm trying to be zen about that.

ETA:

  • Scoop the cat box
  • Back up my laptop
  • Deposit checks at the bank
  • Did I say 3 orders? Try 13. Can't count. All half-finished now.
  • Call Dr and get a refill on my Epipen prescription so I don't die in convulsions if stung by a bee down in those warm climes that actually have bees.

When and how did you find out about this? I had a sudden flash of fear yesterday of my son being stung sometime/place where care would be too far away... **shudder** I'm not allergic and nor is my partner, so this is a little irrational on my part. BUT! ... if I may ask..

Often bee allergies are developed after a bunch of stings - I was stung 2 or 3 times before I developed the allergy. I found out when I was stung the last time - after about an hour, I started getting itchy bumps up my arm (the sting was on my finger), then across my back. A trip to the emergency room, a shot of adrenaline, and now I always carry an Epipen. Very itchy, and it was starting to move up my neck and across my chest - the danger is that the breathing passages close. I was told that you can also have Bennadryl pills as a carry-always kind of preventative - that can keep a reaction from being fatal if you can't get to help right away, though it doesn't work as well or as fast.

Mine is strongest to yellow jackets - that's what I've been stung by, and are most common and most mean - and somewhat mild with other kinds of bees and wasps.

Disclaimer: not a doctor. :P

Yikes! I was only stung once in my life, when I was around four, man did that ever hurt!

Aren't you glad to have an indoor toilet now, no nasty yellow jackets to dodge on the way to and in the loo...yikes...Not to mention the freezing your bottom off in the winter.
