Okay, this is grossly unfair.

Last week, it got up into the 80s. Our snow melted (resulting in some rather spectacular localized flooding in a few places due to blocked culverts), people wore shorts and short sleeves and were happy, and green-up tried to happen - all the trees sprouted happy little green leavelets.

Today?

IT SNOWED.

Sounds like spring in Reno. We literally go from 80 to snow and back in a matter of days from March-May every year. :)

Hot and muggy down here. I suspect that we've seen the last of any weather bearing any resemblance to "cool" for the next several months.

I think our summers are a lot like your Alaskan winters. They define the bulk of the year and make you appreciate the off-seasons even more.

I personally would rather be hot than cold, but I know others feel the exact opposite.

When does it normally start to "warm up" 'round your parts?

You have snow? OH GOD NO. I thought when I went outside that it felt like snow. (And that probably makes sense to an Alaskan...) I wonder if it's headed our way or if it's just up in the hills ...?

Two flakes had the audacity to float by my nose this morning as I was walking to the car. (1400ft elevation) I sure hope there's no snow on the ground when I get home tonight. *glower*

This is totally unrelated...though I am not happy about the weather either...

But, I have one tail left if you'd like it...slightly used, but in mint condition...it was my fav tail. You can have it no charge! :-D
