Ooo, it's really neat seeing them all stacked together like that! :) I love the delicacy of the colors at the bottom, and also the way you're handling light. I love how the snow is melting on the sunward side, including in patches off the grass.
(One thing -- although I don't know if it's possible at this stage, and if it isn't, I wouldn'tsweat it -- if you're able to, I'd get rid of the thin fringe of sideburn/beard in front of BS's ear. Technically speaking, he doesn't have a full beard, but rather a goatee that extends to the angle of his jaw. It might be something that could be gotten rid of with a little judicious photoshopping at the end, if you just go over it in flesh-tones.)
ARGH. I told myself half a dozen times that I ought to check the references again and make sure I hadn't missed something before I inked, but I was too into the groove and never did. I think it can be corrected - in photoshop, if not in the painting phase.
Ellen you are one of my lovely art gods. I can't wait to see this finished. You have a magic touch with watercolours and of course your drawing skills too. I love your work! = FAN!!! :D
